8 Heads in a Duffel Bag
(1997)
Reviewed by Jason Catanese
Rating: 1 Beans

an, I really wanted to hate this movie. It got some terrible reviews, and went to video 3 days after it was released to theaters. Well, to my surprise, I didn't think it was that bad. I will review it, however, because about 95% of the population would disagree.

Joe Pesci has the best scenes, parodying his "Goodfellas" and "Casino" type roles. Unfortunately, he's not onscreen enough to make me fully appreciate the film, especially since the other main character, played by newcomer Andy Comeau(who has little talent)is repetitive and boring.

The plot involves Pesci on an assignment to transport 8 heads(yes, the title) to a mob boss as proof that they have been knocked off. A luggage mix-up switches Pesci's and Comeau's bags at the airport, and the rest of the movie has Pesci trying to find the bag, while Comeau tries to get rid of it.

This isn't really a good movie in any way, but there are a few scenes that had me laughing. They involved Pesci, David Spade, and Todd Louisa, two of Comeau's medical school buddies. Louisa loses his mind at the end after he's forced to cut a few duplicate heads off some corpses, and provides some of the better moments.

I don't know who to suggest this movie to, you most probably will either like it or hate it. No one will love it.

This review was pretty boring compared to my others, don't you think? Well, everyone has an off day.
