K. I missed this film in the theatres. I missed it on Pay-Per-View. And all of my friends have seen it before me. Funny thing is, all of my friends loved it. So, gullible idiot that I am at times, I decided to waste my dad's money and rent it. I want my 90 minutes back!!!!!!!
This is definately on my worst movies of the decade list, and is nominated for quite a few of my ScaryMann Hatred Awards.
It's about some demonic Genie(Sorry, DJINN) who goes around granting wishes, and taking their souls. Of course, the girl who woke him is supposed to have 3 wishes. She wastes one, then another, then gives the most ludicrous wording of a good wish. She said, "I wish the operator wasn't drinking on the job 2 days ago!"
She could at least have said she wished it didn't happen.
Sorry I gave away the ending. But it isn't worth watching.
The next day, I told my friends how horrible it was. And they know I like Comic Relief Horror(my own name for films like Scream). So my friends thought it was just because it, "Wasn't comic relief enough."
That was their own words! I hated it because it was horrible! It wasn't even supposed to be Comic Relief!
Ah, well. I guess it's only for people under 14. But I don't think I would have liked the movie then.
But there is one good moment in the film. It is when the DJINN calls the girl on the phone. Knowing it's him, she picks it up, shouts, "**** You," and leaves.
First of all, Tammy Lauren seems that she can be a great actress. Here's to hoping she finds a good film!
Second, Wes Craven did a horrible thing executive producing this film. Please say it was just for the money!!!!
Third, don't see this. Save yourself!!!!!!!!
